Easter at Christ Church
April 9 | Christ Church
LOVE is the thread that weaves us together as a community of believers. It is the foundation upon which we build our relationships and the glue that holds us fast in times of trial. The Bible speaks often of the importance of loving one another, with over 100 references to the phrase throughout its pages. Of these, 47 verses give specific instructions to followers of Jesus on how to love one another.
In our Lenten series ‘Love In Action’, we explored the idea of loving one another and dove deep into the meaning of being woven together as a community of believers, united in our love for each other. We discovered the beauty and strength that comes from caring for others in a deeper and more intentional way and the impact it can have on our lives and the world around us.
This Easter, we’ll celebrate the Ultimate Act of Love of Jesus as demonstrated through his death and resurrection. He willingly sacrificed himself on the cross to pay the price for our sins, showing the depth of his love for us. But his love didn’t stop there – he rose from the dead, conquering death and offering us eternal life with him. Easter is a time to remember and celebrate this ultimate love that Jesus has for us.
