What Can I Expect During My First Visit?

Our greeters will be happy to help you find your way to our worship centers, the children's ministry areas, or the Cafes where you can enjoy a fresh cup of gourmet coffee and meet others.

We want you to be comfortable and wear whatever you choose.  Suits to shorts, dress shoes to flip-flops, you'll see it all here!

You will never be asked to identify yourself as a guest.  We are here to answer any questions that you may have about us, our ministries, or ways you can be involved, but only when you're ready.  If you would like us to contact you, simply give us contact info on your bulletin tear-off.

We do take an offering during each worship service, but as our guest your presence is your gift to us.  If you choose to make an offering, we thank you for participating in God's work here.

Serving Locally

At Christ Church we encourage you to think beyond your norm. Mix things up a bit when seeking ways to serve. Consider contributions you can offer that welcome Christ into your life and those you serve in a new and vibrant way.

Our definition of serving locally is broad.

For example, we work with greater Dayton community agencies like Wesley Center, St. Paul United Methodist Church, St. Vincent Shelter, Kettering Backpack Program, and Oasis House to provide volunteers for their food banks, tutors, preparing and serving meals, and answering phones as well as sharing professional skills such as tax preparation to those in underserved areas of Dayton. Multiple times each year we share the love of Christ with inmates in prisons through Kairos Weekend ministry teams.

We need volunteers to help sort through the pounds of food and clothing donated at our Kettering campus to make sure they are distributed in an efficient and effective way. Do you like talking with folks on the phone? Perhaps answering the phones at the Kettering campus offers a place for you, or making care calls to members who are homebound. Like to cook or bake? We always need help with preparing and serving refreshments for our Sunday morning experiences, special events, or when a church member just needs a little respite from worrying about food while coping with life challenges.

Check out the full list of opportunities that just might be a good fit for you.

Parking Lot Ministry

All are invited to join this summer and help fight the opioid epidemic in the Dayton area. This summer all proceeds from the donations collected throughout the Fraze Pavilion's season will support our ministry partner, New Hope Church, on the front lines of this heartbreaking epidemic.  You can collect donations for parking, listen to music, and enjoy the summer while raising funds for life-changing efforts.  Click HERE for a list of all concert dates.

Poverty Alleviation Initiative

Ever wonder how you could help families break the poverty circle and actually thrive? Kettering Circles is an amazing program with a mission and testimonial success to achieving just that outcome!  Be a small part of this amazing life-changing area of serving by preparing and serving a meal to the Kettering Circles participants prior to their weekly gathering.  Click HERE to find a date that works for you.  Invite your family, friends, and/or small group to be part of something MUCH bigger than you could ever imagine!

St. Vincent's Breakfast Ministry

Each month, Christ Church will prepare, serve, and eat breakfast with the women and families who are served at the St. Vincent's Homeless Shelter. This is a great opportunity for families and friends to serve in our local community. Christ Church sends a crew the 3rd Sunday each month!

Meet at the north end of Kettering Campus at 4:45 am, and return at approximately 8:00 am.
