Goals of the Preschool Program
Social/Emotional Development:
Develop the ability to share, play cooperatively in groups and alone, respect classmates/teachers and show interest/attention in classroom activities.
Physical Development:
Provide opportunities for children to move and control their bodies; to develop fundamental skills in balance, coordination, agility and strength in large muscle activities through daily exercise and play. Develop small motor skills by encouraging the use of hands in all types of manipulative activities.
Intellectual Development:
Provide a wide variety of readiness experience in language/cognitive skills. Develop literacy through writing and spoken word. Foster a love of learning through numbers, colors, shapes and letters as well as encouraging curiosity about science and nature.
Spiritual Development:
Encourage each child's spiritual and personal relationship with God through our optional Godly Play program - a spiritual formation program designed specifically for preschoolers. For more about Godly Play...
