promote healing, reflect the compassion of Christ, and lift up the spirit
through prayer
Benefits of Donating Blood
"With other Christians we recognize that the reign of God is both a present and future reality. Wherever persons are being made new creatures in Christ, wherever the insights and resources of the gospel are brought to bear on the life of the world, God's reign is already effective in its healing and renewing power." United Methodist Discipline
The second Sunday of each month in the Upstair's Cafe between 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. We provide a healthy morning snack.
We visit, call, &/or write to persons not able to regularly participate in worship services due to age, frailty, or disability. We extend loving care, friendship, and news of our church family to those we contact a minimum of once a month.
Village People: We have members residing within the Bethany Village community who need regular visits. Please join us and bring your smile and presence to the Village once a month. Contact marybeth@christumc.org
We use our hands and hearts, blessings and prayers, lovely and soft yarns to knit and crochet Prayer Shawls. These are given to comfort and hold close in a warm embrace those among us who are grieving, ill, or in despair. We also welcome the firstborn children of our church families with a baby blanket. We meet twice a month, on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays, 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., room 202.
