SAFETY FIRST |
"Safety" for our Children's First Ministry Team means
ALL children are checked in and out each and every Sunday!
~ ALWAYS ROOM 120~
"Safety" for our APT policy (All Protecting Together)
means
ALL Children/Youth Volunteers are screened and attend training sessions to insure that our children are not compromised in any way and that we maintain our awareness as volunteers to follow the best practices put in to place by our "Safety" policyin order to prevent abuse of any kind.
Your first stop on Sunday morning should be Room 120 - known as our Children's Ministry Hospitality Center. Our door greeters can give you directions or will be happy to escort you. This is THE PLACE to get any announcements about upcoming events, to be alerted to any changes for the morning and to pick up nametags for all children. First time visitors or returning guests will be asked to complete as short registration form for their child so that a file and nametag can be created for the next visit.
Nursery and Preschool: pick up nametags and parent retrieval cards in this room and then proceed to your child's room to sign in.
Elementary (K-4th) and Preteen (5th/6th) programs will pick up their nametags and sign their class attendance sheet while in Room 120.
Sunday Morning Offerings |
You have been telling us that your weekdays are so crammed full of work, schedules and “must do’s” that you look forward to our Sunday worship time as a way to be encouraged and recharged for the week to come. Well, here is a simpler approach to Sunday morning for everyone!
9:00 Traditional Service
Children attend church with their families and will be dismissed to go to SUnday School in the CHapel or Deep End
9:30 “Kids Connection”
Preschoolers - Chapel
Elementary - Deep End
5th/6th - Room 273
This is the High Energy worship and small group time that the kids love! Preschoolers meet in the Chapel, Elementary students meet in the Deep End and 5th/6th graders meet in Room 273. Parents can choose to worship on their own, attend an adult class or help with the kids as a volunteer.
10:45 “Connection” Service
Everyone attends church (except babies and toddlers).
Children may exit for sermon moments.
All ages are invited to join in the family friendly “Connection” service in the Activity Center. Children will have the option to leave during the sermon for a VBS style worship in the Deep End. Watch as we incorporate new elements to make this a relaxed and kid-friendly service for our whole church family.
11:15 Traditional Service
Children attend church with families. Nursery provided for babies and toddlers.
The name tag check in system is the primary way that Children's Ministry ensures that children are released to only their proper parent or guardian. Elementary age children do not have claim tags. The sign in and sign out sheet is used for this purpose. Our younger children have a two-pronged system of claim tag and sign in and sign out. Our youngest also have diaper bag tags to help us keep the right bag with the right child.

"And as for that in the good soil, they are those who, hearing the word, hold it fast in an honest and good heart, and bring forth fruit with patience."
Did you know...?
...that the children registered in the Sunday Morning Children's Program in 1998 was 125? In 2006, that number had grown to over 425!
