What is the Mission Zone?

The Mission Zone is a FREE program for kids in 1st - 5th grade that is an outreach ministry offered by the church to students of our community and our church. The Program will be in sessions on Thursday Afternoons from 3 - 5 p.m.

What is the purpose of the Mission Zone?

Simply put, our purpose is to:

  • provide an outreach program where kids reach out to others as Jesus taught us to do.
  • provide a Christian place for the children where there is love and acceptance.
  • provide weekly mission opportunities.
  • provide encouragement and to work on issues of self-image and problem solving.

In The Mission Zone we will:

  • visit folks in local nursing homes,
  • help with local hunger programs,
  • learn about ways to keep our community clean,
  • and think about ways to help people in other states and countries.

This program is designed to engage the kids in mission projects from the heart and provide many leadership opportunities, all the while, spreading Christ's love.

From time to time we will also offer enrichment "hobby groups" which encourage the kids to learn new skills and to get connected with other adults in the church family. Items created in the hobby groups may be donated as gifts for folks in the nursing homes or children in the hospital.
