What is ARK?

Afterschool Reaching Kids, also known as ARK, is a FREE program that is an outreach ministry offered by the church to students of our community and our church. The Program will be in sessions on Wednesday Afternoons from after school until 5:30 p.m.

What is the purpose of ARK?

Simply put, ARK is to:

• provide children with a Christian safe space after school where there is love and acceptance
• expose the children to unique learning and growing experiences
• provide opportunities that are Christian in nature
• provide encouragement and to work on issues of self-image and problem solving

Wednesday Program (K-Grade 5)

The Wednesday program will follow a Vacation Bible School format and will include recreation time, snack time, bible storytelling, crafts and study or homework time. In addition, we frequently offer short term small interest groups where kids can explore a variety of experiences while connecting with teens and adults from our congregation.

Why does ARK pair up children with Adults?

In many cases adults have skills and hobbies that they are delighted to share with young learners. Children pick up the enthusiasm and joy of learning and begin to get their first taste of being in a Small Group or Discipleship Ministry team.

For the adults, it is a time to share a passion and enthusiasm with a new group of learners while providing an opportunitiy (and permission) to "play" with children in a way that engergizes both the adult and the child.

How to Register?

Download the Registration Packet below. Then return both the ARK registration and the Annual Permission/Medical forms to the church office. Space is limited and openings will be filled on a first come, first served basis.
