What Can I Expect During My First Visit?

Our greeters will be happy to help you find your way to our worship centers, the children's ministry areas, or the Cafes where you can enjoy a fresh cup of gourmet coffee and meet others.

We want you to be comfortable and wear whatever you choose.  Suits to shorts, dress shoes to flip-flops, you'll see it all here!

You will never be asked to identify yourself as a guest.  We are here to answer any questions that you may have about us, our ministries, or ways you can be involved, but only when you're ready.  If you would like us to contact you, simply give us contact info on your bulletin tear-off.

We do take an offering during each worship service, but as our guest your presence is your gift to us.  If you choose to make an offering, we thank you for participating in God's work here.

Serving Locally

At Christ Church we encourage you to think beyond your comfort zone. Mix things up a bit when seeking ways to serve. Consider contributions you can offer that welcome Christ into your life and those you serve in a new and vibrant way.

Our definition of serving locally is broad.

For example, we work with community agencies like Springboro Community Assistance Center (SCAC) and One Heart to provide volunteers for the food bank, tutors, preparing and serving meals. Multiple times each year we share the love of Christ by sponsoring families through gifts and meals such as Adopt-a-Family and Turkey & Fruit Baskets.

And, there are those serving opportunities that support our church family and guests. We are intentional to create an experience that says you are welcome and you matter. It is not an experience about the building. It is about people creating an experience that says you have worth in God’s eyes.

Check out the full list of opportunities that might be a good fit for you.

Raise the Roof

raise-the-roof-topper.jpeg

All are invited to enjoy a live event with great music and fellowship while helping to raise money for a roof on a sober living house on Xenia Ave. This fun, family festival has something for everyone!  Enjoy festival games, food trucks, live music, and a PIE-A-PASTOR booth!  Where else will you get the chance to change lives by donating and throwing pies at the Christ Church Pastors?!?  Bring your checkbook, all the change you can find, next week's lunch money, and any other funds you can find!

Wondering why this is so important?  Dayton, and the entire United States, is in the midst of an opioid epidemic.  Montgomery County is leading the nation in opioid related overdoses!  According to local officials, "more than 800 people will die from an opiate overdose this year, more than double last year's record." This has to change! New Hope Church on Xenia Ave. is on the front lines of this epidemic in our area and already have possession of a sober living house.  However, before they can open and begin life-saving ministry, the house needs a new roof.

Event is sponsored by Christ Church and New Hope Church.  We can do more when we do it together!  #lovethe937

DATE: Sunday, October 8
TIME: 4-7 P.M.
LOCATION: Stubbs Park in Centerville

Can't make it to the event, but still want to participate?  Donations can be submitted to Christ Church, marked "Raise the Roof"

First Sunday Dinners

We are jumping "all in" to a new opportunity to be in service together & for others!  Each month a small group will make, bake, take, and serve dinner to all those who worship at New Hope Church (536 Xenia Ave. Dayton, OH 45410).  Following the 5 p.m. worship led by Pastor Jeff Cartwright, we will serve and enjoy a meal!

This is a family-friendly way to serve.

Contact Cari Oehlenschlager with any questions and to plug into serving this month!

St. Vincent's Breakfast Ministry

st-vincent.jpg

Each month, Christ Church will prepare, serve, and eat breakfast with the women and families who are served at the St. Vincent's Homeless Shelter. This is a great opportunity for families and friends to serve in our local community. Christ Church sends a crew the 3rd Sunday each month!

Meet at the north end of Kettering Campus at 4:45a.m., and return at approximately 8:00a.m.
