What Can I Expect During My First Visit?

Our greeters will be happy to help you find your way to our worship centers, the children's ministry areas, or the Cafes where you can enjoy a fresh cup of gourmet coffee and meet others.

We want you to be comfortable and wear whatever you choose.  Suits to shorts, dress shoes to flip-flops, you'll see it all here!

You will never be asked to identify yourself as a guest.  We are here to answer any questions that you may have about us, our ministries, or ways you can be involved, but only when you're ready.  If you would like us to contact you, simply give us contact info on your bulletin tear-off.

We do take an offering during each worship service, but as our guest your presence is your gift to us.  If you choose to make an offering, we thank you for participating in God's work here.

Church Business

To keep the church focused on its mission and vision, while maintaining ministry coordination, Christ Church has put a structure in place that oversees all function and activity of the church. Made up of several levels of responsibilities and accountability, the structure is in line with requirements set forth in The Discipline of The United Methodist Church.

The Church Board meets once a month to ensure that the work of the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) is aligned theologically, financially, and structurally to the mission and vision of Christ Church. Meetings are typically held on the fourth Thursday of each month (except Nov. & Dec.).  The Church Board recognizes the value to church governance of congregational comment on church issues and the importance of allowing members to express themselves on church matters of interest. In order to permit the fair and orderly expression of such comment, the Board shall provide a period of congregational participation at regular meetings of the Board. The Board has adopted the attached rules to govern such participation.

The ELT is made up of director-level staff members. This team is responsible for holding ministry teams accountable to the fulfilling the mission and vision of the church, setting overall ministry objectives, and evaluating the metrics for success in the various ministry areas. The ministry teams at each campus are comprised of volunteers from the church congregation. These teams are the hands and feet on the ground as God’s tools for changing lives.
